NPR on Women in Energy

There was an interesting NPR piece earlier this week on women in energy titled, "Oil Companies Look To Fill Employment Gap With More Women." The piece reviews some of the history of women in white collar jobs, but discusses efforts made to recruit women for the blue collar jobs as well. They also reference a piece they did in 2012 about the looming retirement of a lot of energy sector employees as an impetus for the interest in women in these roles. I'd be interested in others' reactions to their story.
