Congratulations to our HR Pro for May, Dan Allinger!

Dan, Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources at Frank's International, is a bold, inspirational, and entrepreneurial leader and has been very effective setting global strategy and leading execution.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Dan is now a Global HR executive leader with more than 25 years of experience and has been recognized for building high performing cultures and exceptional leaders delivering extraordinary enterprise performance.

When asked about the most difficult obstacle he's overcome, Dan shared his unique perspective involving reductions in workforce.
"I don't think I will ever be comfortable with it...Several people have asked me how it feels to make these decisions; releasing people through no fault of their own. Some say it isn't personal, but it is to the individual, their family, and their community, and it weighs heavily on me. I have to come to realize if it has to be done, then people should be treated with dignity and respect, and leave knowing there is hope. In most cases, people have gone on to new jobs, new careers, or something which is better for them and their family. So my perspective is, if a reduction has to be done, I want to be involved to ensure people are treated with dignity, respect and have hope."

What does he do to destress and revitalize? Dan told us, "Spending time with my wife, Robin, and family, especially my grand babies, is a what energizes me. Regardless of the task, it tends to be fun and comical. I also enjoy spending time serving on the Texas State School of Management board of advisors, on the board of an analytics company, and community service projects."
