1. Introduce Yourself.
Update your profile information and photo/avatar to introduce yourself to the community.
To update your profile go to www.pinkpetro.com/members. Here you will want to make sure you have a completed profile, where you have filled in information about yourself, such as location, interests, background, etc.
To change your photo on Pink Petro, just click on the avatar circle in the upper right corner (in the top navigation bar to the left of the pencil icon) to expand the menu, and click Edit Profile. Follow the steps to Upload a Photo and Avatar.
2. Explore and Follow
Search for and follow at least 5 colleagues, then join/follow at least 1 place. Following people and places helps personalize what content you see and improves recommendations for places, content, and people that may be of interest to you. Find members with similar interests, expertise, roles, etc, or follow people who lead areas related to your work.
You can also join and follow other places, such as spaces and groups, related to your team and interests. Use the magnifying glass in the upper right corner to search for places and people. For more information, see Searching for content on Pink Petro.
"Like" a message that appeals to you. Better yet, reply to a question, add comments to a post, or start a discussion on a new topic. Keep the conversations going.
4. Check out the Jive App and Jive for Office/Outlook Plug-ins
If you need mobile access, you can download the free Jive for iOS app from the Apple store. If you will need to edit and collaborate on files in the Community, you may also want to download the Jive for Office and Jive for Outlook plug-ins to make it easier to connect and collaborate in the Community from Office/Outlook. To download the plug-ins: click on the avatar circle in the upper right corner (in the top navigation bar to the left of the pencil icon) to expand the menu, and click Tools.
