So apparently women receive fewer investments than men on Shark Tank. Of course, it begs the question - just how many female vs. male led investments have been pitched? Could that have something to do with the analysis?
The article also states women generally value their companies for less than men do and ask for less money than their male counterparts. Sadly, a good friend of mine who is a fairly senior banker told me the same thing about two years ago.
I am curious what you think. What do you think is contributing to lower values and lower asks? Is it confidence or something else?
For the private equity folks, your insight into lower valuations would be appreciated!
