Using Ground Penetrating Radar to confirm utilitis before drilling
JENNIFER RICE needs to see this. this is part of the site where we show field trips. Hope you get to meet Tina. She's new and has a lot of great ideas
Thanks , Katie.
I'm preparing this week to be in field four weeks.
Starting next week, I am drilling with a small combination rig.
3 weeks, I will be overseeing borings using a sonic drill rig to depth ranging from 70' - 100'.
I will post photos of each event, adding description of photos.

This is great. If you give us permission we can tweet these out for sure. Did you get to meet JENNIFER ?
Absolutely, please do.
I love what I do and enjoy sharing. I like answering questions, I actually have a young lady, 18, that will be coming to site after classes that is interested in geology.
The rig I will be using is a sonic rig, huge for my line of work. I will reduce down definition, method, send pics, show core samples.
We have a few geologists here who will love this. Jenny Thompson Aman Wraich Rachelle Kernen Kristy Whitaker Ali Sloan Amy Spaziani Dianna Phu to name a few. Go check out the Energy Field Trip: 'Rocking' it out in Australia and Our Australian Geology #FieldTrip: Changing flat tires in yoga pants posts.
I love the GEOs on our platform. They are tough ladies who have been rocking it since the downturn.
A profession that I love, I'm trying to talk my pg into becoming a member....
I so would love starting a women owned, operated, drilling company that would employee geologist, environmental engineers . ALOT of work in Texas . And I have the remedial technology too.
That sounds awesome! I have aspirations for similar ideas. More along the lines of working prospects, especially in "developed" fields that could use a little more technology and/or science to develop the remaining potential. The most fun I've had at work was when I was drilling wells with a woman drilling engineer. We actually had an amazing all female team. My mentor/senior geologist was a woman, my RE was a woman, the reservoir geologist, and petrophysicist were women. It was fun! And we were great! I won't mention some of the comments we received when entering some meetings together though....
I love it! the comments can't be worse than I have heard. Then when I became a licensed driller.......well, here I am, giving advice , licensed in 4 states. And i have an arrangement with one of the few companies that i know can remediate clay soils. Looking at license in Texas. I so would love to have a female owned, operated, even drilling. The rigs have advanced so greatly, until it's no longer the back killing labor.
I've worked with the same pg in Florida for over 20 years.
Alot of environmental in Texas.
Maybe we can figure out how to combone all of our resources and show what the ladies of Pink Petro can do.
I mob equipment on site today for a 2 week long drilling project . Contamination assessment as part of remediation activities.
Due to the depth, soil type, I will be using sonic drill rig.
My plan is to start posting info, pics, some of the core samples.
Please ask questions, or comments.
Tina, I don't know if you can help Amy but she's looking for her next "gig"...many of the geos are. Keep your eye out in the field for us please! You are such an amazing asset and I'm so glad we have you as a member with all that you share!
I actually have been giving alot of thought on how to help and everyone.
I have a few ideas. I would appreciate writing or typing my ideas, info, and emailing to you direct then us go from there.
Primary reason, as like you, busy.
I believe that a market exist.
I believe a little thought, will allow for entering door to success.
Thank you for your kind words. Humbling. I am just me.
I don't believe that I have. You know , I'm sorta shy. But I will.
